What an absolute splash of a day! The children headed out to East Beach for an unforgettable adventure packed with learning, exploring, and heaps of creativity!
As part of our exciting topic comparing the East of England to a vibrant region in Northern Brazil, we have been diving deep into topography, climate, and tourism. Our mini-scientists put their skills to the test right on the shoreline by measuring wind speed, air temperature, and water temperature—and they even kept a bustling shipping tally!
The adventure didn't stop there! In art, we have been exploring the incredible work of British sculptor Antony Gormley. Inspired by his famous installations, the children got incredibly creative—striking their best statue poses to mimic his piece "Horizon" while sketching their coastal surroundings.
We are so proud of how much energy and curiosity everyone brought to the beach!
