Week 3- 4th May
Week beginning 4th May
Wow, I can't believe it's May already. I don't know where time is going!
It was so lovely to speak to you on the phone last week and hear all the wonderful things you have been getting up to. I am so glad to hear that you are well and safe and looking after yourselves and your families. As I mentioned to you all, please make sure you are staying in touch by putting something on purple mash each week. There is an expectation that you are keeping in contact with us at school and we do love seeing what you have been up to! (Even if this is a picture on a Friday of something you have been up to in the week)
This week, on Friday is the celebration of VE Day (and also a bank holiday). You can see these clips for more info on what VE day is (https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/history-ks2-ve-day/z7xtmfr https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/48201749). Some of you might even be celebrating VE day with your street on Friday, lots of streets around the country will be holding safe street parties from their front gardens. My road is already decorated with lots of houses having red, white and blue and union jack bunting. If you are joining in, I'd love to see pictures of what you get up to. There is lots of activities based on VE day this week too!
You have a new 2 weekly block of Art, Science and Topic tasks below and weekly English, Maths and RE tasks. This week, you should be able to click on the blue hyperlinks within the documents to take you straight to the resources. You can also find all the resources on the relevant pages below. You should be aiming to complete Art, Science and Topic activities in addition to weekly English and Maths tasks.
Don't forget to look out for weekly fun tasks and messages on the blog- well done to those of you who joined in with the Disney Film task. This week also will see another boys vs girls challenge on TTRS and for the first time we are going in to battle with St Mary's school. So the aim is to get as many of you playing as possible.
I can't wait to see what this week brings.
Take care and stay safe,
