Week 4- 11th May
Monday 11th May 2020
Good morning Year 5, I hope you all continue to be well and safe. I also hope you all enjoyed your bank holiday for VE Day and it has been lovely to see all your pictures, picnics and socially distanced street parties so far. I'll share some pictures of our street and I look forward to seeing the rest of your pictures and celebrations.
New Maths, English and RE tasks this week. There are important messages on the timetable of tasks so please ensure that you read each section carefully, particularly in regards to the maths activities. The girls won the times tables battle this week (well done for pulling it back!) so I wonder who will take the lead and make it 2-1?! As ever, please continue reading and updating me if you reach any milestone reads- you can include your purple mash reading as a read too!
The other curriculum subjects are now on their second week. As the art tasks were based around VE day you may want to look at Mrs Gillett's Artist of the Week page for a new theme, if you want to do something new this week. It's based around the idea of 'Observe, Draw and Imagine.' The PE challenges are now going to be updated weekly but you can find these on the PE blog, if you are looking for extra active activities at home have a look at my 'Netflex' resource down below! And... don't forget to guess on the 'Guess Who' blog and take part in any fun challenges I put on the class blog.
I look forward to another week of all the amazing things that you are getting up to! Don't forget to comment on the blog if we haven't heard from you in a while...
