School Values

School Aims

Underpinning the vision of outstanding, holistic education at St George's are four key elements.

Faith

The centrality of Christ and the Catholic faith sits alongside achievement and progress; through faith it is a place where gospel values are at the heart of everything.

Family

The love and support of family gives the freedom and confidence to be the very best. Nurturing the concept of school and parish family are essential to the spiritual and academic wellbeing of our children.

Education

Inspiring children through rich opportunities, memorable experiences and high quality learning so that their aspirations for the future are limitless.

Excellence

Children are supported, encouraged and given the confidence to be the very best they can be in whatever field and are given every opportunity to succeed.

We aim for excellent achievement and progress by enabling children to acquire knowledge, develop their understanding and learn and practice skills exceptionally well. Our children will develop lively, enquiring minds, the ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks and physical skills, both on their own and in groups. They will understand the importance of spiritual awareness; will have a sense of moral responsibility; will develop their social awareness and celebrate cultural diversity.

St George's Catholic Primary School is situated in Shoeburyness, Essex. We serve families from the parish of St George's and The English Martyrs which encompasses Shoebury, Great Wakering and Thorpe Bay. We also have families who live outside the parish boundary. We are a single form entry school which allows us to have a maximum on roll of 210 children. Our seven classes are from EYFS/Reception up to Year 6.
