Spiritual life

“Children are the Lord’s reward and gift.”  Psalm 127:3

At St George’s, our faith and spiritual awareness play integral part in our daily life. We work hard to ensure everyone feels part of God’s family and the family of St. George’s. In doing this everyone is treated with kindness and respect, just as Jesus taught us to “love one another as I have loved you.” At the heart of Catholic Education, lies our vision of how people should be. This is embedded in our RE lessons, assemblies and liturgies. Children have opportunities to express their faith through, song and dance, art, debate and drama.

We take our kindness and respect message into the local community as well, supporting local, national and international charities. One example is the St Vincent de Paul Society in Southend. Throughout the year we collect for their foodbank with House Captains visiting the centre to deliver the contributions.
