Year 4 have started their new topic about extreme weather and as part of this work topic they have studied a Japanese artist called Hokusai, who created a woodprint called ‘The Great Wave of Kanagawa’. This month, our winner of ‘Artist of the Month’ goes to Lyla, who did her own beautiful interpretation of the print by using oil pastels to show some boats moving through a stormy sea and a huge wave.
