Fun Run 23rd April
Tue 20 Dec 2016102 of our children ran over 2 miles along the seafront to raise funds for the school. The children (and accompanying adults) were given a great send off at the Sealife Centre and ran, jogged and walked their way up to Uncle Tom’s Cabin. The safety marshals who lined the route encouraged all participants to keep going and they were met at the finish line by cheering family and friends. All runners were awarded a medal on completing the run. We haven’t calculated a final total as sponsor money is still coming in. The results for the fastest girl and boy were:
Year R - Hannah & Harry
Year 1 - Kyrea & Edward
Year 2 - Lyric & Charlie
Year 3 - Catherine & Bayley
Year 4 - Grace & Todd
Year 5 - Hannah & William
Year 6 - Bonnie & Amelia and Ace

KS1 Cross Country
Tue 20 Dec 2016Children from Key Stage 1 represented the school at the Catholic Schools Cross Country event on 26th May.
On 26th May a team of excited runners from St Francis, St Therese and St Elizabeth classes participated in the KS1 Deanery Cross Country event at St Teresa’s in Rochford and were magnificent! They didn’t quite know what to expect, as this was the first time the event had been organised, but all team members ran with energy, enthusiasm and eagerness to do their best. We had some individual successes: Holly & Charlie (St Elizabeth) both won their race and Casey (St Therese) came second. We also gained third place overall from the team points, which is a great achievement. Well done Team St George’s, we are proud of you all.
