  The winners of the House Sports Competition this year is St Margaret Clitherow , Blue House. Congratulations to them and a massive well done to all the children and parents for making it a very close competition.

  We had plenty to celebrate in assembly this afternoon. Congratulations to those who received Reading Awards, Science Awards, one Sports Award and the Headteacher's Awards.You are all Superstars!

  

• The British Museum

  Year 5 were lucky to enjoy a second trip this half term, all the way to the British Museum in London.  All our learning in class for our Ancient Greeks topic linked really well throughout the day. We were able to make sketches of some of the amazing sculptures and took great ideas away with us to use in some of our upcoming art lessons too. The weather was great and although the journey home was much longer than expected, everyone again demonstrated outstanding behaviour. A fabulous day for St Anthony’s Class.

  

• Afternoon Tea

  This week the school hall became a posh restaurant as the children of St Peter's Class served afternoon tea to their classmates. They took it in turns to prepare and serve the delicious sandwiches, scones and cake along with a nice cup of tea or coffee. All the children took part and said they enjoyed the preparation and serving just as much as the eating!
