  • Celebration Assembly

    Lots to celebrate at assembly today. Congratulations to the winners of the Headteacher's Awards, including the whole of St Peter's Class for their wonderful work in their World War Two day and to St Therese and St Elizabeth Class for their amazing Nativity - I'm Gonna Shine.

    Congratulations also to the winners of the Parish Christmas Card competition. Will you have one of their designs on your mantlepiece this Christmas?

     

  • Children in World War Two

    Today St Peter's Class have had a small taster of life for children during World War Two. The children have cooked spam hash and an eggless cake which they thoroughly enjoyed eating! They have sung and danced to WW2 songs and have been practising their sewing skills within the theme of, ‘Make do and mend’. Fortunately, they didn't need to be evacuated so they will all be returning home after school this evening!

    Year 6 and some of Year 5 took part in a STEM challenge sponsored by OLYMPUS. They had to design and create different gliders based on the science of how they fly. Through doing this, the children got a flavour of what it is like to be an engineer.
