  • Bird Watch 2022

    St Francis Class took part in Bird Watch 2022 during Welly Wednesday. We talked about different birds we might spot in our outdoor area and then made bird food and birds nests.

  • Earthquake!

    As part of their topic Extreme Earth, St Joseph's Class have beelooking at what makes a structure able to withstand an earthquake. They all designed and built structures which were put to the 'wobble test' at the end of the session. Most designs survived so well done to the designers!

  • Oliver Twist

    St Anthony’s Class have been using their acting skills this week to present freeze frames of different events in the story of Oliver Twist which we are studying as our English text. We have been thinking carefully about facial expression, positioning and story-telling. We were also able to give constructive criticism with respect and consideration to the feelings of our peers.

  • Fun with Friction

    St Bernadette's Class had lots of fun investigating how different surfaces produce different amounts of friction by conducting an experiment using a toy car and ramp. They found that the more friction the surface provided, the higher they needed to raise the ramp for the car to move. Good work St Bernadette's Class!

  • Blubber!

    Today the reception children enjoyed learning about how blubber keeps animals warm in the arctic and investigating this using lard.

  • Celebration Assembly

    Not only did we celebrate the winners of Reading Awards and Headteacher's Awards today, but children from St Bernadette and St Joseph classes showed us their fabulous art work as well. Congratulations to you all!

  • Artist of the Month

    It is wonderful to celebrate our first Artist of the Month for 2022! This month’s artist is Katie who completed a beautiful piece of artwork in the style of Nicholas Roerich who was famous for his paintings of the Himalayas. She explored light and shade and blending of colours to produce a remarkable piece of work. Well done, Katie!

    We had a bumper group of children to celebrate at today's assembly! Congratulations to all who were awarded Headteacher's Awards, Sports awards and Bronze or Silver Reading Awards. Well done everyone!

    We held our Celebration Assembly online today but were still able to congratulate the winners of the Headteacher's Awards and the Sports Awards. Congratulations also to the many children who recieved Reading Awards today. A great start to the new term!
