  • Advent begins

    Mon 30 Nov 2020
Today we started the season of Advent with each class making an Advent Wreath. As well as the traditional candles and greenery the children added something connected to their class saint. Then, at our first ever online Advent Service, each class lit the first purple candle. The countdown to Christmas has begun!
  • Artist of the Month

    Fri 27 Nov 2020

Congratulations to our Artist of the Month for November, Stanislaw from St Bernadette Class. The children have been looking at Stonehenge using different mediums and this week have been focusing on the artist Henry Moore. Stanislaw was able to show the light and shadow of the stones really effectively. Well done Stanislaw!

  • Year 5 'Act their age' for Children in Need

    Mon 16 Nov 2020

We had a very busy Friday in Year 5 focusing on the number 10, the age we will reach during this school year.  We started the day supporting Joe Wicks and joining in the end of his 24 hour PE lesson.  We each completed 10 laps of the playground.  Phew, we were very sporty and active this morning!  In the afternoon, we took part in An Outdoor Scavenger Hunt, searching for 10 natural objects from a list.  We then worked collaboratively to make all our pieces into a natural number 10 on the playground.  It was a great day!

  • Children in Need

    Fri 13 Nov 2020
Today we came in our favourite clothes to support Pudsey and Children in Need. The teachers arranged lots of fun activities including a work out with (a very tired!) Joe Wicks and plenty of Pudsey related craft.
  • Remembrance Day

    Wed 11 Nov 2020
The children across the school have been working on a variety of activities to help them reflect on the meaning of Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. We were led in a service of Remembrance by St Peter's Class and all took part in the Two Minutes Silence to reflect on what we had discovered.
